About Me
I am a seasoned communications professional with 10 years of experience in social impact communications, public relations and digital marketing across the public, private and nonprofits sectors. With a penchant for data-driven storytelling, I draw on my environmental science education and science communication training, translating complex information and creating human-centric stories with a purpose.

I spent the last several years at a boutique social impact communications agency where I delivered meaningful results for my clients in the social impact space. I oversaw project and relationship management for a diverse client portfolio ranging from a Fortune 500 and its foundation, a TED Audacious-funded nonprofit, and a climate tech startup. My previous agency experience includes national issue advocacy campaigns around criminal justice reform, environmental conservation and human rights at cause-conscious firms M+R and BerlinRosen.

Throughout my career, I have focused on elevating brand awareness and advancing mission-driven work for grassroots advocacy groups and international conservation networks alike, including the UN-recognized World Oceans Day campaign. I credit my first internship at the White House Council on Environmental Quality under the Obama Administration for inspiring my career in social impact communications and using the power of storytelling to enact real-world change for both people and the planet.

I hold a bachelor's in English from Boston College with a minor in environmental studies and a master’s in environmental science and management from the University of Rhode Island, where I also received training at URI's Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting. Most recently, I completed an online certificate in Sustainability Communication Strategies from the London School of Economic & Political Science.

Born in Bulgaria, I immigrated to the United States with my parents in 1993 and have since lived across the United States, studied in southern Spain, and traveled throughout Europe. I currently reside in Sofia, Bulgaria where I continue to freelance and ruminate on my homecoming back to the Balkans after 25 years.
